Attaching a plant badge to a balmoral

So in honor of this wonderful community, I recently bought some plastic dandelions to place behind the clan cap badge of my balmoral. Probably a stupid question, but how do I affix the plant to my cockade? Do I just pierce the stem with the pin of the cap badge? Does this work even with a plastic stem?
Tha mi uabhasach sgith gach latha.

On rare occasion do I wear a dandelion in my bonnet, usually when I am trying to meet up with a visiting xmarker who is unknown to me and is in a crowd . I just stuff my plastic dandelion stem behind the cockade.

I meant that if you had more then one vs just one then you wouldn’t be sad/mad over the fact that you destroyed one buy pinning it with your cap badge until you find a real solution to your problem

As usual your advice is spot on. Dandelion stuffed ready for the rare occasion that I wear a balmoral.
