Heading To Edmonton
Hello All!
I am heading to Edmonton next week for business and wanted to ask if there might be anything going on or at least a good pub to head to? Also, are there any good Highland outfitters about? Thanks!

Re pubs, depending on where you're staying there are plenty that would fit the bill, celtic and non-celtic - you can use Google for reviews and addresses but by the two 'downtown' neighbourhoods, Jasper Avenue - Downtown (north side of river), Whyte Avenue - Old Strathcona (south side of river) in no particular order:
Downtown:
Sherlock Holmes (celtic)
The Druid (celtic)
Mercers Tavern (in historic building)
Craft Beer Market (incredible beer selection)
Beer Revolution (incredible beer selection)
Fionn MacCool's (never been there)
Old Strathcona:
O'Byrne's Irish Pub (celtic)
Pourhouse Bier Bistro (great selection)
MKT Fresh Food/Beer Market (in historic building)
The Next Act (good beer selection)
Sugar Bowl (in historic building)
Etc.
Good luck with it and welcome to Edmonton. FWIW, we are probably 2-3 weeks ahead in our spring = no snow!

Thank you both for the information. I am staying at a Marriott in town and will definitely try out a couple of the recommendations. Thanks!

Fiona MacCool's a new addition transplanted from eastern Canada. If it has kept its foundations, it will be good.
You're that close by, so please have a stroll over and take a walk of our Legislature grounds, and even a public tour inside if you've the time. At lunch time today you'd have seen a kilted fellow.
