A Good Encounter

So I climbed up out of the basement and set across the parking lot to go visit the High Priestesses of Software Licensing here at the Big U, and halfway across the parking lot comes a toot on a horn and a "Hi, where can I get a kilt?"

Turns out the guy had seen me around a few times, and had worn a kilt at a wedding sometime in the past, really enjoyed it, and wanted to get himself one. He'd bought hose and flashes, but nothing else. So we chatted and I turned him on to XMarks and Stillwater. Turns out He's Irish, and I'm thinking there might be a saffron kilt in this mans future. Not only that but his Boss over at Parking and Transportation Services has a kilt!

Further talk revealed that he threw discus and shot put in High school....he's a big guy...and he's interested in taking a crack at some of the Highland Games. So in a couple of weeks we will hopefully see him out for our Thursday Night practices.

What a nice little interlude in the middle of the afternoon. This sort of thing makes your day.
