Kilted Sweeney
Last week I was on Spring Break (I love being a teacher after working in the industry for a few years -- I get Spring Break again!) Anyway, I sent my break in Los Angeles, and on Wednesday I had the oppertunity to see the touring production of Sweeney Todd at the Ahmanson theatre. I was of course Kilted! In my County Donegal wool kilt, I paired with a light blue button down shirt, cream hose and my steel toed boots (the only shoes other than my sneakers I took on vacation-- Oops!)
Anyway, not many comments, but one of my theatre companions commented "I'm admiring your kilt, not your a$$" I responded that I didn't care either way, but my partner might. My partner said "You can admire any part of him, just remember i've got the ring, he's mine!"
I've never considered my back side (or any part of me) worthy of being admired.
So I conclude:
Kilts are The Great Ego boost!
Cheers
Chris

My spouse is generally supportive of what I do. Once in a while the attention that I get whilst kilted does bother him. For some events that we attend together, I go in trousers. The swish of the kilt does seem to help in getting better service at some of the local pubs. It seems to attract the staff. This means virtually no waiting for the next pint.
