High flying friday

I went for a heli flight out of Long Beach, CA (LGB) with my friend and pilot Dale friday around noon. As we lifted off I pointed out Sportkilt's building off to our left and he said "maybe we should go by there later .."
After a cool game of chase with Coastie off Points Fermin and Vicente (lighthouses are very cool), I was happy once we returned inland as it was a bit frosty out over the water (I took my door off, thankfully I was unkilted).

When we were driving back Dale swung into the lot blocking James' parking but the fine folks at SK with a little help from me got Dale turned out in a fine USN tartan, hose, flashes, belt, and sporran at about 50% off.

Reportedly he's going to be at Muldoon's Newport today, we haven't told anyone he's joined the Kilted Ranks yet (ok, so I did tell Southern Red but she's not coming so surprise time is in about 2 and a half hours from right now.

So my choice of a white shirt though relatively cooler than the blue wasn't spot on, we all got compliments.
Helo pilot Dale in his new SK USN, Chris Pierce of the Fenians in his uhmm, ... "Drummer" kilt, and my China Blue by SK.
