    Better than bees wax

I thought I'd share this with all the hand sewers out there.
I don't recommend products without good reason but.....This is the best invention since deep fried Twinkies.

The product is Thread Heaven and it beats the heck out of bees wax.

I was at a quilting workshop and a woman sitting next to me was using it. Traditional quilters (there's that word again) are about the pickiest people I know when it comes to what they use on fabric. And if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

It doesn't stain fabric (including wool).
    It is non-toxic.
It lets the thread glide through the fabric.
Nothing will ever prevent thread from knotting 100% of the time, but this stuff will get that percentage to 99.999%. And when it does knot; they are pretty easy to undo.
It's a little tricky to use with a sewing machine although it can be done.

I'm telling you, for hand sewing, this stuff is GREAT!

The web site has a list of retailers in the US, UK, and Australia.

It's a bit pricier than wax but I have been using the same little box for over three years and have made only a small dent in it.

    Happy Pleating
