making belted plaid-Pittsburgh, PA
I've decided that I'd like to give belted plaid a try. It seems like it should take less money than a machine made or tailored kilt (I have little money to spend) and less time than an X Kilt (I have little time to spend). This whole college thing consumes a lot of resources from both categories.
Anyone know where to buy good, inexpensive fabric around Pittsburgh, specifically Oakland? What kind of qualities should I be looking for? Are there any fabric terms or measurements I should know when buying?
Thanks.
