I have been perusing the hose threads recently and consequently a variety of online vendors regarding a personal kilt hose upgrade. I am intrigued with some of the options for diced/argyl cuffed hose.

I seem to remember a while back seeing a post or two regarding these as "hunting" hose, a field rather than a formal option. I guess my question to the learned (or opinionated ) rabble is.......... How formal are hose with specialty altered cuffs? -and- what are "hunting" hose?

Just curious.
