Kilt for summer wedding Italy

Hi,
I am going to a wedding in July in Italy. My wife and her family are Italian. I really want to wear a kilt to the wedding, but in Italy weddings are less formal so full day/evening dress is not really suitable (needless to say it will be July and far too hot to wear full outfit). I really like the idea of a 21st century kilt for the wedding but don't want to buy one. Does anyone know where you can hire such a kilt or any suggestions on how to make my kilt outfit more summery and fashionable for an Italian wedding. I have already tried it with a pair of chelsea boots, socks down and a navy blue linen jacket, and it looks quite good. But would be great if anyone has any ideas or experience of wearing a kilt to a hot European wedding.

The question is- how would you like people to be dressed for your wedding? I think a smart appearance with kilt, long hose, shirt with tie and a kilt jacket would be the appropriate for such an occasion. By hot, do you mean the weather or the party ?? If the weather is too hot the jacket could be discarded after the ceremony.
