    great kilt Opportunity Tartan ID?

Those keen on trying a Great Kilt may be interested in this fabric. at $8 a yard, and all wool, it might be just what you need. And there are 15 yards of it.

    Anyone recognize the tartan?

Interesting - it's Hunting Alexander, one of my designs which was originally done as a personal tartan.

For the personal use of Mr TL Alexander, now being sold on Ebay for upholstery. Wow.

A beautiful tartan, beautiful colours. Were you inspired by the Wilsons colours?

If I was a betting man, I would lay a bet on, "yes."

Unless I missed it, there is no mention of the weight of the "drapery" fabric ... I would guess it may be fairly light weight?

A little over 13 pounds for 15 yards, so, roughly speaking, maybe 12 oz/yard at 55" wide. Someone else may be able to calculate a more precise figure.
