    Under the Gun

We have an order for 24 kilts (5 yard wool kilts) in a special order tartan that we designed for an Emerald society. They need the kilts by March 10 and the mill had some delays in getting the cloth to us, so it just arrived today at 1 PM. Looks like Mac and Ian and I will have a very LONG weekend!

You can do it Rocky because you guys are the best. With that being said don't let my order get lost in the process and at least you don't have the same time restraints (6 to 8 weeks).

Not to worry, Dusty. We knew this "bump" was coming through the order que and we planned for it. We're still at 8 weeks on regular orders.

    David...I resemble that remark.

Rocky... Instead of spending time at XMarks, get to work! You'll lose an hour Sunday AM as well due to the time change.

I seem to get more done when I get in a time crunch. it's like I kick into high gear and my focus gets sharper, sure beats lolly gagging about when things aren't busy.

Nevertheless, we expect a couple of photos showing the progress through the weekend...

    Ask and you shall receive:

What was our secret to getting 24 kilts done in 3 days with a St. Patrick's day deadline looming? Red Bull.

The newly registered Smoke Showing tartan

Mac is doing the math to make sure we utilize as much of the cloth as we can

Ian and Mac are sewing the kilts

Rocky is putting in the pleats on this kilt.

Ian is sewing a liner into the waistband

Here, we've sewn in the waistband and liner

Mac is sewing on the buckles

"This is not the tartan you're looking for"

Here are several kilts finished and awaiting pressing.

Rocky is pressing in the pleats

Here is a finished kilt after pressing.

Here they are, all finished and ready to box up!
