    My first kilt

Hopefully I've finally gotten the hang of posting a picture. A kilt in USMC (Leatherneck) tartan. May have to start saving my pennies for one in USMC (dress blue).

Congratulations on the new kilt! I agree with Knouse, it looks FANTASTIC pleated to the stripe.

Very nice! I especially like the pleating, which appears to be to the yellow lines.

If you wouldn't mind a suggestion (out of trying to be helpful, not to be critical or negative, so take it in the spirit it is intended) a kilt doesn't look squared-away unless it's worn straight. You can look at the entire front panel and see which line or portion of the tartan is intended to be centered. In the military a kilt is always worn straight, and amongst most civilian pipers too.

Great length, waist height, and pleating. As Richard correctly mentions, get the stripes of the sett centered, and you will be squared away beautifully!

I would like to thank everyone for their comments and guidance. I'm new to the world of wearing a kilt and am still trying to get ahead of the learning curve. While there aren't many here in the land of OZ that would know any better, now I will and will strive to do my fellow kilters proud.
