Stupid Autocorrect.
Flew into Chicago yesterday morning for the first of 5 days of professional meetings. Want to say a big THANKS to the Windy City Rabble for hosting me at the Duke of Perth pub just north of downtown Chicago, orchestrated in large part by Mikilt (Mike). Also in attendance were McFarkas (Mark) and Sample m (Jeremiah). We dined (my bangers and mash with neeps was particulalry tasty), we drank (Talisker Storm seem like the malt of choice, and a great choice at that), we chatted, laughed, remembered about all manner of things, kilt related or not. In the end I have made three new friends, and had another successful have-kilt-will-travel kilt night with another fine group of locals. And just so's you ne'er believers cannot say it did not happen see picture below:
ForresterModern (me, aka Jeff, in Weathered Douglas tank), Sample m (Jeremiah), McFarkas (Mark), and Mikilt (Mike in Cthullu).
If you fellows want to chime in with your tartan please do as else you know someone will ask.
To complete a social circle entirely unexpectedly, I am also wearing a hand made wool bonnet by our own DixieCat, who was the love of our dear departed Turpin, who just happened to be brother to McFarkas, one of my newfound friends. My family and I had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a meal with Turpin and Dixicat (the lovely Beverly) at the 2012 Stone Mountain Games. Finer folks I think I have never met. My, the world is just one wonderful circle.
Thanks again gents for the wonderful evening and your company and friendship.
