And any kiltmaker anywhere would be more than happy to work with you remotely. We email, we Skype, we do whatever is necessary to make you a proper kilt that fits perfectly and looks great. You don't need to feel that you have to have someone local!

You can't get any better kiltmaker than Barb.
But perhaps it would be better to start by giving us an idea of what your perfect kilt would be. Or even tell us what you would like to do in your kilt.

Perfect kilt, can't say I have an answer for that since I am still waiting for my first one to arrive tomorrow. I want a proper one, one that is warm I guess but I want to avoid animal products as much as possible I understand that it is probably not ideal if I wish to stay warm.
I also want it to fit well which is most important, I am regrettably fat. 183lbs 5'7. Was over 220 so getting smaller again.
Lastly I'd say it would hark to my Irish roots.
If that helps

She certainly does! Barb has made four kilts for me, long distance and all based on a Saturday morning measurement session via Skype. I didn't do much other than stand there while my wife measured at Barb's direction. She does fantastic work.
