    Huuuge reccomendation.

After various troubles with the kilt I ordered from Slanj (Not their fault, the mill's fault) I needed to get a good quality kilt and fast.
Since I've lost weight my Macdonald modern wool kilt was far too big for me so I donated it to a charity shop.
And I didn't want to wear my PV Macdonald modern to the wedding.

Looking around on Ebay for something else, I spotted a handmade in Scotland, wool, 16oz Macdonald modern for 99 pounds. (About $200.) IN MY SIZE!
So I asked a few questions and they assured me it from the Lochcarron Strome Range (code MD/M) and the kilt was made by Rothbury kilts in Glasgow.
It was an ex display model and had never been worn.

I took the plunge and ordered it.
I won it on Friday evening and it came first thing this morning.
Here are the ebay pictures. (I'll post some proper pictures on the Pics section.)

I can assure you, this kilt is top quality and the pleats really are as perfect as they look in that second photo.
I am incredibly happy with this kilt and I thought I would recommend these folks to any of you guys needing a quality kilt but without much money.

They have a good few kilts on sale just not, so it's worth a look.

And the postage is reasonable, too!

Looks great - good buy. Is this going to be the wedding kilt?

See, that's a win-win situation. You drop some pounds and score a very decent kilt at a great price. Life is good, eh?

Thanks for sharing the story. Great how you worked it all out. And it shows good character that you donated your old kilt.

Congrats on losing the weight. I think I found them, though.

So it's back on the wagon for me for a while. My kilts are getting tight, and I can't afford new ones.
