    DIY attempt #7

I'm at it again! Auld Lang Syne Modern 16 oz. from Marton Mills. I'm pleating it to the white stripe on purple. Since the purple is only 11/16 of an inch, there will be many, narrow pleats. Since I need every thread of purple to show, I'm basting the edge of each pleat to ensure that no pleat rolls during pressing to reveal any black no any pleat edge. There will be 35 pleats. The green next to the purple seems to contrast quite a bit and there could be an interesting show when it swishes. I've decided to join the "hip buckle isn't necessary club" on this one. More pics to come as things progress.

I'm sure those pleats will submit to your basting. Well done.

Seven pleats stitched. I eliminated 3 pleats to get measurements right, 32 instead of 35. So far so good.

That looks outright daunting, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Just out of curiosity, how much taper is there to each pleat? It can't be more than a few threads.
