Suprise! Not the question I expected!
I spent the last four days in Nashville, and some time in Kentucky (Paducah & Franklin) with some of the typical strange looks and many nice responses from those lovely locals.
Today my wife and I drove to the Smokey Mts. to spend our last four days in Sevierville and stopped in to the Kroger's to pick up a few items.
First the bagger said "I don't think I've ever seen someone wear a kilt in the store" , he was nice and quite respectful, but as we were getting to the car, I heard someone ask "Are you on X-Marks the Scot?"
I was totally off guard for that one! It was Peter C, and it was nice to meet a fellow X-Marker as I traveled.
I talked to him quite briefly, since we needed to get to the Resort and check-in, but I told him that we are planning to go to the Tartan Museum, most likely tomorrow, and we made sure to try and remember who the other was (By Screen name).
Great day and lots of fun meeting another one of "US" out there!

For the most part we were kept busy, my wife met her best friend from college (had not seen in 25 years) who's daughter lives in Franklin, KY, and we spent most of Sunday and Monday with them, Tuesday we stayed in, and today was check out and drive to the Smokies.
We will be planning to come back in the future though....(too much to see).

So beware!
Looks like something near (very near, now that I look) five thousand Xmarksers worldwide...you're bound to run into one sooner or later.

...and by the way, I hear tell that the five thousandth member is going to get a great honor...he's going to get to buy a round for all of the other 4,999 members. Drink up, dudes!

Cool, nice to get a different question for a change! Fun to run into someone unexpectedly like that.

I've yet to run into one- seems like most of the Indiana X-Markers are a little far north or south of Indianapolis/Carmel for casual interaction.
