    A pleasant suprise

Several weeks ago we went to my pals mother's 80th birthday party in the local church hall. I suggested to him prior why not 'pipe in' his mother's birthday cake as they have Scottish links. I have an old friend who is a piper. Anyhow the result was we did it. We were the only ones kilted by the way. Yesterday evening there was a knock on the door and it was my pals auntie and she had brought around some pictures she had taken on the night.

Great shots Derek. Don't let Ham see you with a Tartan tie or you'll have to "Go stand outside the Office" .

One thing is the tartan trim around the collar and lapels a welsh design . I haven't seen it before ?

Hi David .... the tartan on the jacket and the tie is the Welsh National Tartan. There are also two dragons on the collar as well. If I had'nt had my hands around the back the same is on the cuffs of the jacket too.
    Hope Ham forgives me

What a great idea, a haggis cake! There's nothing more impressive that something - anything..being piped in, a cake included.

How did your mate's mum enjoy it?

I haven't seen it, Derek! Even if I had, I would not discuss it publicly - that can wait until we meet next time!!
