I won't be wearing pants, but I won't be celebrating No Pants Day. In other words, I won't be strutting around wearing clothes from the waist up, underwear, then clothes from the knees down. According to the website, throwing on a kilt isn't a form of celebrating the day.

I'm planning on making it a 3 kilt day. One for breakfast, changing for lunch with friends, then the last for dinner with the family.

How very appropriate that I'm getting married in my kilt that day then!

Indeed. Somehow it doesn't seem right that they would hijack Beltaine/Mayday as their No Pants Day. Have they never heard of dancing 'round the maypole, or do they just mean to do the same in their underwear? It seems to indicate a certain ignorance. I'm not a religious person, neither pagan nor anything else, but their choice of date seems ill-advised. Or maybe it is inspired by nude dancing of yore on pagan holidays?
It is only one step removed from choosing Easter as No Pants Day. Both fall among the sabbats and esbats (or quarter days and half quarter days if you prefer) of the old calendar, as do Samhain/Halloween and Yule/Christmas, and others less well known.
