    newbie question about weights

Does the total weight of an implement include the chain and handle? I am making some steel-encased, lead filled implements and want to make sure I get them right.

Yes, the weight includes the handle and chain.

When making the LWFD, the distance from the outside edge of the handle to the bottom of the weight, furthest from the handle, cannot exceed 18 inches.

Not sure on the hammer hole dimensions, but probably 1 1/4
