Ready to go and collect Ann for an outing to Moffat for lunch.
We passed close to Kirkhope Tower in the Ettrick Valley. Built about 1535 it was a Scott stronghold, home to the eldest son of Scott of Harden.
Our route continued along the shore of St. Mary's Loch
(this pic was from a previous occasion as the sun wasn't shining today.)
Near the shore of the loch I paused for a photo of this old Automobile Association cabin.
The road continues past the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall.
Ann found the journey to Moffat quite tiring, it is only 45 miles from Hawick but it is a road which has many ups and downs and twists and turns.
The Moffat abbatoir was converted to a weaving mill in 1949. Later the Moffat Woollen Mill diversfied into retailing, but this loom is still operated for demonstration purposes.

Hector Russell Kilts have a retail shop within the Moffat Woollen Mill and I just had to take a look at their stock.
That's all folks.
