Can anyone give me some advice/remarks about kilts from Frugal Corner?

Re: frugal corner
I have two of their kilts - one lightweight and one heavyweight.
The lightweight is light - great in summer, but the merest breeze blows it all around.
The heavyweight is very well made.
Both are acrylic.
Good starter kilts.
Communication could be improved, but you get what you pay for and I got value for money.

Re: frugal corner
I have a heavyweight, its pretty good, though there is an error on the tartan where two lines touch and they shouldn't. They measure from the buckle at its largest setting rather than the middle or smallest setting.

Re: frugal corner
The Frugal Corner's kilts are made of acrylic and are good value for the money. Obviously not the same level as a hand sewn tank.... I have heard that the quality is comparable to Stillwater Kilts, with the advantage of being able to have them made to a custom length.
A while back, I won a tartan design contest from them and they now manufacture my New World Irish tartan. As a prize, I got two of their heavyweight acrylic kilts, one pleated to the sett and one pleated to the stripe.

I don't have anything else from them, but I can say that Mark is a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. He is also an Xmarker (Kilted-Marine).

Re: frugal corner
i have heard that their communication is not that great, but they are a very small company, and as far as i can tell turn out quality goods, even if it may take some time.

Re: frugal corner
I've ordered two. One was a standard size for me, the other was a special length for my nephew, and they both fit perfectly. I regard them as excellent value for the money.

Re: frugal corner
My daughter and son-in-law worked with them to outfit the men in their wedding party and they had no difficulties that I know of. The kilts were purchased and were the heavy acrylic and hung nicely. Recently at the Wisconsin Highland games they had a display and were selling the Wisconsin Tartan kilt in both light and heavy versions. The heavier version was closer to to the original pattern and looked and hung better. A friend of mine bought one and is happy with it.

Re: frugal corner
Excellent value for the money and Mark (Owner of FC) stands by his products. I have one of the FC heavyweights and will be purchasing more when I finish dropping some more weight.
