Just in time for Winter
Many of you have bought ex Military kilts and praised their "tank like" qualities. Although I have several kilts they are no more than 13oz material, and so I thought I'd try and acquire a Military jobbie. Buying from USA was out because of high costs of shipping, so I tried good ol' eBay UK.
After being outbid on many items I finally struck lucky - A Gordon Highlanders kilt in my exact size for the princely sum of 45 of your English pounds and a few shillings. It arrived today and is awesome! Although the leather straps are worn the heavy wool fabric is in top shape and should see me to my grave. I'm sitting here typing and its like I'm in a sauna. It has arrived just right for the weather which has turned cold.
There's an extra benefit too- the high waist acts like a corset and keeps all the tubbiness in place!!
I'll see if Mr Fox Talbot can produce one of his photogenic drawings to post on X Marks....
Slainte!
