Recent Ensenada Mexico Outing
Our golf "Six-some"

My golf swing - trying for a hole in one.

Between two of the Corona girls.

In front of the Ensenada harbor.

Around the pool.

New member Induction ceremonial Degree team. That's me on the far left - still not in those hated cloth tubes!

These shots are from the many that I took, or were taken, at a recent outing of the Order of Quetzalcoatl to Ensenada Mexico. We are a group of Shriners that raise money for transporting kids to our hospitals. Shriners Hospitals treat burned and crippled children with NEVER a charge for the treatments! We gather a few times a year to let off steam and to raise money.
This outing happened last week-end in Ensenada Mexico, and in addition to drinking a lot of very good Mexican cerveza, we raised over $86K for our charity. We work hard and party hard.
I have more flix, but only these show me. I was, of course, the only one kilted, and it was really fun to be kilted. While walking around the tourest area, I was asked to pose with an old Mexican Dueña, and a few blocks later with a visiting Japanese couple.
It was a fun week-end.

Great pics, James. Were any of the other inductees in that last pic tempted to move up from pants to kilts after the ceremony?

Those aren't the inductees, but we are the ceremonial degree team, that induct the new members. But - None of the new members showed any interest, but several members from far away (we had attendees from many different countries and different states) had a lot of interest.
I promised to e-mail info on lower cost kilts to several. I didn't take any of my tanks, but only five of my SWK's and two Sport kilts (SK).
I wish I had a shot of me bing pushed into the pool while going to the jacuzy in my blackwatch SK. It must have been funny to see. But the cotton fabric of the SK, makes me wonder if I can also throw away my bathing suit! It held up well to the dunking and the clorine!
This was a stag outing, and I had planned on removing the SK before getting into the water, but after it got wet, I said "what the " and just kept it on.

Although I took several kilts with me, I see that the USMC tartan was on when the flix were snapped. It was a four day trip, so, of course I changed sox and kilts. Most days I had on two different kilts, one casual in the morning and another more dressy in the night. By far the best liked tartan from the non-scotts was the black Stewart. From the Scottish blokes and other informed about the kilt, they liked the USMC tartan.
I took Blackwatch, Stewart hunting, USMC, MacMillan hunting along, as they were most durable. No tanks.
