Kilted Softball
So I just received about 14 Black Watch kilts from SWK for my company softball team. My team is the "Green Team" so the tartan is appropriate to match our green jerseys. It's a 3 day tournament on a private ranch. It was actually our team captains idea and when he tried on his casual kilt, he was REALLY excited. We'll be the talk of the entire picnic this year.
Being that its a pretty competitve event, we'll of course be un-regimented (for safety's sake mostly). Jock straps at the minimum
The sporrans will function well to hold our beers as we are in the field. No running with a full sporran however!
Anyway, I'm sure there will be a team pic which I will post after the event. The Green Team traditionally finishes 1st or 2nd every year so there will be a pic of us in our team jackets (one of the awards) as well....

Sounds like a lot of fun. You'll have to let us know how sliding into home plate works with a kilt. Either way, I'm excited to see the picts.

Sliding into 2nd base could be interesting!
Have a blast!

Just so it doesn't look like A League of our Own.....
Used to play in the tavern leagues....loved to catch so I could set my beer down next to me for easy access. Then the aftergame party at our sponsor's tavern...either to drown our sorrows or celebrate our victory...win win for the beer vendors.
Think you're gonna have the best looking team in the league for sure.

What fun! Just be careful as to what you hit!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Sweet!
Oh, that's awesome. Pics are a must! I've been wondering how running/jogging in a kilt would be, so you'll have to let us know your experiences!

A kilted team? Right on! That'll give them something to talk about!
