    Red Gordon Saturday

So three years ago Rocky put together a special order of Red Gordon in PV. I got in on it with a Casual in Red Gordon. If I had it to do over today I'd have chosen the Semi-Trad. Maybe some day enough of us House of Gordon cousins can put together another special order.

Yesterday was out and about with a visitor. She shot some pics of this olde bird that show the Red Gordon tartan pretty well.

The old Navajo Bridge over Marble Canyon. You can walk out on it and peer down at the river. No California Condors about though...they often hang out at the bridge. The ranger station there has the best local books. Walked away with over a hundred bucks worth (coulda bought another kilt!!) so I'll have reading material for a few weeks.

We drove on up to Lees Ferry and Paria Beach, one of the few places below Glen Canyon dam where you can wade in the water. The releases were high yesterday so there was no beach left...

After cooling off (water's about 47 degrees F) we went back to Lonely Dell where the ferrymen and their families lived in the old days. This pic was by an old wagon they used.

After exploring Lonely Dell we hiked up the Paria River Canyon a ways. Really pretty and green after all the recent monsoon rains.

So, if you're House of Gordon and these pics whet your appetite for another special run of Red Gordon lets talk about it, let Rocky know. I'm in for a semi-trad and will have this casual for sale after.

Great pics Ron and as usual they make me homesick, I would love to get a Red Gordon as I am a cousin. But finances prohibit that right now, if things change I will let you know. Bydand.

Dang you Ron and your Gordon kilts!!! (muttering as I start counting loose change for the new kilt fund)

That kilt really looks good. How much are we talking about to get a run of that for some semi-trads?
