BBC 2,Scotland's Clans, Clan Cameron?
My wife just found out that both her Fathers and her Mothers familys have ties to the Clan Cameron. I just saw that BBC 2 has this show "Scotland's Clans" and the latest episode is about Clan Cameron. Only thing is I cant watch because it reads "Not availible in your area". Anyone here know how I might be able to watch it short of going to the U.K? Thanks. And my lovely wife surely thanks you!

I can't help you there I am afraid, but I hope your wife will like a picture of Achnacarry Castle, home of Clan Cameron instead.

It might have been put on you tube - other clans in the series have been.

The gent who posted the others on youtube hasn't added this one (yet). I've asked him to, and as soon as he does I'll ask Steve to reopen my thread The Highland Clans w/ Paul Murton so that I can add it there to the others.
Missing episodes on youtube that I've requested to be added:
Clans Armstrong, Cameron, Douglas, Maclean, Stewart and Grant

I'm surprised that it's not already on you tube as this episode is a repeat and was first broadcast in 2008.

Thank you all for your replies. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find out that both sides of her family come from the same district, and for her mother and father to meet and get married all these generations later and a whole ocean and half the American continent away was luck? fate? Divine intervention maybe! But I know it was good for me because I was able to meet such a beautiful dark haired lass and make her mine!

As one whose grandmother was an Armstrong, few of that name would recognize themselves as belonging to a clan the way the Camerons are. The Armstrongs were border reivers - culturally and linguistically far from the Highland clan way of life. If we can get the series it will be interesting to see how everyone is treated. There's just no way they can omit Clan Donald - or Clan Campbell. Lots of stories to tell. BBC producers seem to get to run with any idea that strikes them - there's a lot to be said for state-supported non-commercial TV for getting fascinating projects done.
