Q. on a sporran.
Good morning Gentlemen,
A question if I may;
I see some old sporrans that have a long loop on the back, for the sporran strap to pass through. This loop shows above the cantle, and would mean that the sporran strap could be worn much tighter and closer to the waist.
Can anyone tell me if this type of mounting has advantages/disadvantages?
I would like to know, as I am making a sporran that will look somewhat old -fashioned and would appreciate help re. the mounting.
(This sporran will have a hinged wooden cantle, though I do reccognise the fact that wood does not appear to be very traditional!....)
Thank you for your time!
Richard.
