Litvinov workout revised by Dan John
http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_...tvinov_workout
Basically, the idea is to do a lift, preferably a squat or other basic core exercise...8x. HARD. Then sprint, a 200m or a 400m or maybe even just a 50m. Repeat 3x. DONE.
Interesting.

Very cool. Thanks a lot.
I will try this. I'm sure it'll be great for rugby.

Yep, I've read this before, but had forgotten about it - thanks for posting. Sounds brutal...but I may end up trying it in the Spring.
Just need to figure out when & how to work it in...

Spring...definitely Spring for me.
Winter is spent throwing discus and shotput in a mess of All Comers meets, and lifting for 1-rep and 3-rep PR's in the gym in early February. Once February gets here, the lifting transitions to 40% of my max, super-fast, and lots of Olympic-type movements. I'll run sprints and do box jumps and will probably try this Litvinov workout.
