Sign in a store window
SIGN IN A STORE WINDOW.
'WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1000 FOREIGN TERRORISTS THAN WITH ONE SINGLE BRITISH SOLDIER!'
This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in
CAMPBELTOWN, SCOTLAND.
You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement.
However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.
After all, it is ONLY A SIGN.
You may say 'What kind of business would dare to post such a sign?'
Answer:
A FUNERAL PARLOUR.
(WHO SAID SCOTTISH UNDERTAKERS HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOUR?)
YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!!!

That one led you down the wrong path before it sprung the trap, didn't it?!
Thanks.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Being an ex-squaddie, I too started off getting the 'what the...', but burst out laughing at the tag line.
As soon as I retrieve my lungs back (chest infection), I'll forward the text to a few buddies.
And TheScot, that one is a classic also.

Father Bill, if memory serves me correctly that story has a very familiar ring.
If you have ever read the book or seen the film, The Colditz story, I think you will find that a Dutch or French POW said similiar words to the German Feldwebel of the Guard. Cheers
