I would ask everyone please keep the people of New Orleans and Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers this evening, as they prepare for Hurricane Katrina's landfall.
you just beat me to it, I was about to say the same thing. My prayers are with the folk there, it must be a terrible time for them.
As some of you know, my wife's family is from New Orleans and Louisiana, so as you can imagine, we are following the news closely. Page still has relatives in Baton Rouge -- Page also survived Hurricane Andrew when it hit South Florida, so she knows all too well what Louisiana is in for.
So much history in the Crescent City -- The French Quarter, Chalmette Battlefield, The D-Day Museum, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathederal -- it makes the heart heavy.
Our prayers go out to those who are gathering in New Olreans. Havanah has already seen what this storm has to bear, and I fear what God has to offer for the Pelican State.
