    Thornhill Burns Suppers 1926 & 1928

While visiting Ann's family at Plains yesterday her cousin showed me these interesting and well preserved programmes/menus for Burns Suppers held at Thornhill, Dumfriesshire in 1926 and 1928, which his father's (Ann's mother's) Uncle Hugh had attended. Hughie Smith was brought up in Thornhill and later moved to Stirling after he married. He lived to the age of 86.

Thanks so much for sharing these photos. They are wonderful reminders of how much ole Robbie was loved then and now, going on 249 years in all.
