    Baseball fans????

I know we have football fans on here. We also have hockey.

So, are there any baseball fans, and what are your teams???

I am an Atlanta Braves fan. I am an ATL native and pulled from them even when they were HORRIBLE. I once pulled for Bob Horner, one of the most under-rated infielders in baseball history. I also rooted for the Murph (Dale Murphy, ole number 3). The 1991 season was truly MAGICAL and felt VERY much like in the movie "Major League."

    Anyone else?

I've got to be a Mets fan. We lived so close to the stadium we could to walk to Shea. My father still works for the Mets

Long time braves fan here as well. I even remeber the all E infield days (Andres Thomas at short, Ken Oberkfell at third, Gerald Perry at first and Damso Garcia and Ron Gant at second) where every ground ball was an adventure. How may people remember Ron Gant as a second baseman?

I'll cheer for the Blue Jays if they're on TV, but generally I find baseball boring.

I'll root for the Rockies if someone else has the game on ('til I fall asleep), or if I get the chance to go watch live. Baseball on TV is one of the strongest sleep inducers I know of. I like it live, but tv? Yawnnnnnnnnnnn

    The Chicago White Sox.

    The Pale Hose.

Born on and continue to live on the Glorious South Side of Chicago...used to live within walking distance of Old Comiskey and I was one of the last people to get a tour of the park before it was demolished...I have a brick from the old Comiskey Park in a place of honor on my shelf of architectural fragments.

I was just at the game last Friday night when Jermaine Dye and (my favorite player) AJ Pierczynski hit back to back Home Runs. This is one of those teams that has a roster full of players with personality and holds a place in my heart with the '69 Cubs (yes...a SouthSider who loved the '69 Cubs). Win or lose it's great just to watch these guys play.

It's like Jean Shepherd said about Sox fans, "...if I was in one of those war movies where they told me to pick five guys to storm an enemy pillbox and it meant certain death...I'd pick five White Sox fans because these guys are used to facing certain death every day of their lives and it holds no terror for them."
