For your consideration, daring or dumb?

In anticipation of my new USA Mcleod of Lewis Semi-traditional kilt (which Rocky just sent me a PM saying it's in the mail tomorrow!! ) have gone out and bought some new black hose and shirts to go with it. Now one of my very favorite kilt outfits is my SWK green heavyweight, green hose, green flashes and a red shirt. all the greens together work really well. I was getting dressed for Scottish Country Dancing and was thinking about my black SWK heavyweight. What the heck? I decided to give it a try. So I put together an all black kilted outfit. I chose my dress sporran with the chrome cantle and fancy celtic knot belt to contrast the black.

Here's the outfit (the little pale cicle is a ghost image of the kilt pin):

The F-H.C.A.G. and I thought it looked rather sharp.

I was wondering what the assembled Rabble made of the ensemble.

I certainly don't want to look like I am a member of Clan Sith...

hmmm...Though all night at SCD class I did keep wanting to say "you don't know the POWER of the Dark Side!"

    Cheers

It certainly does. I think I'll put a black kilt on my wish list.

Question about that sporran. Where did you get it, how much, and what is the quality?

As for the outfit, very sharp. In fact I think I am getting the SWK black heavyweght next myself.

Being a goth from way back, I think all black is the way to go. In fact, the majority of my wardrobe is black. The outfit looks good.

    Looks good!

Sometimes black can get a "bad press" through connotations with evil or wicked characters - the "baddie" in westerns always wore black for instance.

But a black kilted outfit doesn't have such a connotation and can look smart and sharp as it does on our resident model!

A fellow former goth in the kilt world? who'd a thunk it.

Btw the outfit looks great! (for a more goth look, get a skull buckle and some spikes!)
