    Plain black kilt form kiltstore

Well, my plain black kilt finally arrived from kiltstore after 9 weeks!
They assure me it was due to circumstamces beyond their control but I can honestly say it was well worth the wait. It fits like a dream and is fantastically comfortable. The pleats are so sharp I almost cut my finger !!

Here I am trying it out in the countryside of Warwickshire.

Looking sharp. But we need the obligatory pleat shot.

    Best regards,

Looking really sharp. I confess to being a fan of black kilts - I have a heavyweight wool one and two cheap polycotton ones!

Martin, I too am a fan of the plain black kilt - it is SO versatile (but then, which kilt isn't?!!) - and I am so pleased you are content with your new purchase. It certainly looks very good on you. One minor suggestion though: a nice black belt, preferably with a pronged buckle rather than a waist-plate as your 'look' there is so casual, would set off and complete your image. Yes, you're looking good.

Oh, and I agree with the others: a pleat shot, and soon, please!

Hamish, your wish is my command. I'm afraid this is the best pleat shot I have so far, but here's a short clip where you can just see the pleats in action!

That is a very nice kilt. You're definitely looking sharp, there.

    Beautiful!

It's worth asking Herminator for one of his stunning bone kilt pins...looks fantastic on black.

Very Nice!. I'm torn right now between a Plane solid black kilt and one of Stillwaters Shadow Tartan Black Kilts I really like having the subtle tartan in the fabric, but I don't know if the plain twill will look too plain. Any insite on this?

Oops, I totally missed this. If you're not sure, I vote for SWK. It is cheaper than one from Kiltstore, but still really nice. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE kiltstore.net, but if you're not sure, I'd get the shadow tartan. If you've never bought a SWK heavyweight, this is your calling...

Wow, those are nice pleats! Hey, maybe you can try the Batman style now! Don a Batman T, mask, and cape, and you'll be all set!
