Canada Day thread? (particularly those with maple leaf tartans!)
Hey Guys,
Just a pair of pictures from a Canada Day outing to church and lunch. Here's me in the backyward, in my maple leaf.
And for a lark, I came up with what I thought was an interesting (if little inconventional) Canada Day kilt pin: this is my Irish harp kilt pin, with a Canadian coat of arms on top.
If anyone else has any Canada Day kilt pics, please post!

Here is my Canada Day picture, taken today as this is the observed holiday. I just got home from work, I know it's the holiday today, but I had yesterday off, when I got home I took Niko for a walk so this is us going to the pond to look at Canada geese on Canada day.

Today I had to crew aboard our rescue boat. I've always wanted a blue kilt to wear as uniform, but decided that since I'm working(?) on the holiday I'd wear my Maple Leaf.
We have a rule about having to wear long pants on crew, but I just had to avoid wearing my polyester uniform pants for as long as possible. I donned them when we finally took the boat out. I sure would've loved standing on the fore deck at speed with the wind causing my sporran to hide my ever widening grin!

I hope you all had a wonderful Canada day.

Great pictures, guys! It's nice to know that some others strapped on the handsomest tartan there is for Canada Day. Thanks for posting!

great photos. great tartan too. would have loved to see the look on the face of anyone you had to rescue on the high seas had you been able to wear the kilt...

Well, I wore mine to Embro but I was the one with the camera so no photos. Does that count? I met with Rob of R-kilts, he can confirm.
P.S., forgot I wore it to church, too.
