Maple Leaf tartan from CCK
After many months Pete (MacHummel) from Canadian Casual Kilts finally took delivery of the Maple Leaf tartan from Marton Mills. It is well worth the wait. Barclay and I went up to see MacHummel in Fergus last night. Barclay to receive his kilt me to get measured. And wow we were both blown away from what we saw. Pete furnished me a swatch to drool over until my kilt is made. Above is a picture of that swatch and I hope it does this colours justice because they are just awesome. I hope Barclay posts some pictures soon, if not we'll grab some at tomorrows SOKS kilt night when his CCK Maple Leaf makes it's public debut.
A special thanks to MacHummel for making this happen. Pete I know you went ahead and ordered the minimum amount for this limited weaving despite of the fact that you didn't have your normal required amount of orders. And a tip of the hat for the pose you've shown in the ribbing you taken with the many delays from the mill. it's been worth the wait and I can't wait for the Ontario Provincial tartan (nudge, nudge).
So who all joined the Maple Leaf kilt clan?

Reason: curious as to who all ordered.

I did not at first but will be putting down a deposit on one on Wednesday night. That tartan looks awesome, I hope yours is done soon, and I can't wait to see Barclay's.
You're right Pete deserves a hand or maybe a round, as there were some problems getting the weave from the mill, and all the ribbing he has taken over the past few months.

If the paperwork required tomorrow is approved (long story, not going into that mess) I'll have to get one to put under my maple leaf kilt pin.

I've been watching the Maple Leaf PV threads...
Man, I REALLY like that tartan. But, I'm not even sure where the heck Canada is much less have any connection.
Seriously though, very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the Maple Leaf Rabble in "uniform."
