large hose

This will probably sound silly to some of the old timers, but do kilt hose come in a larger size? I have very large calves and have a hard time finding any kind of socks to fit over them and since I have been wearing my kilt more frequently I thought about getting some hose but don't honestly know alot about them. BTW my calves are 18 1/2 inches around if anyone cares.

Yes we have talked about this before (I have 19" calves) There are large hose available. Matt at the Scottish Tartan Museum may still have some. Check here.

There are also several good hose sources like: here. and here.

You can do a search of the posts for hose, and find many other sources.

You'll notice that our popular Lewis kilt hose are also available in a "fully fashioned' variety that will accomodate larger calves. It's not a silly question at all and has been asked many times on Xmarks. Search through the threads and you'll find many on this very subject. I have ordered from almostunwearoutable.com and those are great kilt hose. I also have a pair of the fully fashioned on order from the Scottish Tartans Museum.
