First Full Day Kilted
Well, today was the first day I've worn my kilt all day long. It definitely takes some time getting used to. Sitting down, getting in and out of the truck, windy day...all made for interesting situations as I'm not used to any of them. And going commando in jeans is one thing, regimental in a kilt is completely different.
Nothing of particular note happened. No comments other than one little girl who couldn't believe a guy was wearing a skirt while I was at the Veterans Day parade. Many of the older ladies flashed knowing smiles. The wind was definitely a challenge downtown as it whips in all directions making it hard to prepare for the occasional blow-up.
Definitely comfortable, but something that's gonna take some getting used to.

It gets easier from here though, good for you for taking the first step, little girls always ask why thwe man is wearing a skirt, itr just comes with the territory.

Well done. there are no hard and fast rules regarding going regimental. If you're not comfortable or not sure how a kilt will react in some situations feel fre to wear undergarments. Either that or enjoy the freedom.

If I ever wear the kilt and don't feel comfortable going regimental, like work, I'll take the necessary precaution...I was just talking about the differences between this real freedom and the slight freedom you feel going commando in jeans.

Yeah.
I'm at the point now that if I wear pants, I still make the motion with my hands to sweep the pleats straight before I sit.
It's going to take some adjusting if I ever decide to wear pants regularly. : p

Excellent, first day is always the hardest. Soon you will probably choose to wear kilts most days.

Hey! I also 'sweep' before I sit when in pants.
Glad to hear I'm not as loopy as I thought.
