Thumbs up Military Box Pleat XMTS Tartan Kilt

None other that X Marks the Scot's own way2fractious braved the rain and wind to come down south to have lunch with the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I. He also brought my completed military box pleated 16 oz. X Marks the Scot tartan kilt! Those who have had the chance to see one of w2f's works in person know what incredible attention to detail he puts into them (albeit sometimes those details are a bit a mischievous )

So here are a few pictures

The kilt as presented to me with its own special garment bag

The F-H.C.A.G. has decided that a few rhinestones will have to be added to the bag to give it that little extra special something

The selvege was a little different than other XMTS tartan kilts I'd seen

w2f obviously had way too much fun when he put in the basting stiches!

way2fractious sees no reason that kilt liners need to be boring, a tell tale sign of his work is what lies beneath

    How XMTS can you get!

After lunch sewing in the buckles (he wanted a final fitting so they would be perfectly placed)

    More to come

My X Marks the Scot tartan kilt!

Shot of the amazing pleat work (the belt I'm wearing is a bit too tight for this kilt which is why there is a bit of a dimple in the back waistband

Happy owner and the proud kiltmaker!

I think that this may very well be the first XMTS tartan military box pleat kilt and I am utterly delighted with it!

    Cheers

    Jamie

    I'll second that.
We're going to need a couple close-up shots of those pleats, though. Disturbed minds (mine included) will want to replicate this for themselves.

Way2Fractious - another beautiful kilt. Congratulations.

Looking great there Jamie - Pleated to the light gray strip if I'm not mistaken. Could you add a close-up pic when you get a chance showing some of the MBP detail?

Way to cool Jamie! Well done Way2fractious. I especially liked the 'little' kilt maker touches... It is good to a friend with a sense of humor.
