engraving on dirk -gaelic translation needed

I hope I can post this here since it does involve a hand made dirk.

I need some help.

I am having O'Neille make my beloved a dirk and sgian with some blades I provided. I would like to have them engraved. My beloved would like "Sentinel" engraved on the dirk but in Scots Gaelic. Can any of you out there help us with the spelling and translation?

I am also taking suggestions for what to put on the Sgian, if O'Neille thinks anything will fit there. My beloved is a retired UK military man...

If you would like your handwriting immortalized in the dirk send me a .jpg of the Gaelic version and I will ask him to use that.

It depends on how you are saying it. (The, My, Your, A ... etc' But just the word itself is freiceadan.

I Am Your Sentinel in Gaelic wouldn't translate very well.
It seems to me you would be better with 'Your sentinel.'
Which would be:
Do Freiceadan

I do not think it will fit on a sgian, though.

Looks like I wll need to buy another blade made to use that phrasing.
