Hi all, I am new to here and wanted to thank you all for having me. I am from middle Tn. I am looking to start wearing kilts, but I am not sure what kind of kilt I can wear. I have a german background, but I am really into the scottish background. I have even change what kind of cattle I run to highlanders. Any info would be great. Or if you can point me in the right thread to post in? Thanks Todd

There are many Disctrict, Sate and National tartans and also certain setts that anyone can wear. The Black Watch is a good expamle.

Welcome from Mississippi! Feel free to wear any tartan you want. There are several "universal" tartans such as Black Watch, Royal Stewart (or any variant such as Black Stewart, Green Stewart, Grey Stewart, etc.), Irish National, Scottish National, etc. If you like it, wear it with pride and respect and no one can object.
