When faced with a dilemma, choose both

I have to go to a wedding this weekend. I was volunteered to be the official photographer. My dilemma is do I wear my black suit( which I wear to all formal occasions) or do I wear my new Saffron kilt. My upbringing dicatates that I wear a suit, my common sense tells me to wear the kilt. Fortunately I've got 10+ hours of driving to make up my mind. I'm bringing both.

Current mood tells that I'll wear the suit to the wedding and change into my kilt for the reception.

I'll post pictures when I get back.

BTW, the wedding is at a dude ranch so I'll be out of place no matter what I wear. I don't do cowboy duds.

Hmm... Photographers at weddings are supposed to be unobtrusive. But on the other hand, since it's volunteer work, I'd say you might be entitled to a liberty or two.

    Regards,
    Rex.

If you were a guest I would say wear the kilt, as a photographer I feel Rex has a point here:

I would wear the suit, look professional, and be an asset to the wedding party (that was your gift to them after all).

    Cheers

I agree with Rex also, as a photographer you may wany to blend in more than a kilt. But, wear the kilt and they will certainly be looking at the camera, great for the posed shots.

I say you should blend in and wear a camo kilt. They will see you coming a mile away with the Saffron.

I agree with Rex too. If you are getting payed to be the Photo Bloke then suit up and be as 'grey' as you can. You don't want to steal the show.

Wear your kilt to the evening do when the atmosphere is less formal.

If in doubt, consult the Groom and see what he thinks!

Do you know if anyone else may be attending kilted? As a Wedding Planner i think if any others will be kilted, no problem. If you the only one kilted you will be out of place.
