Kilted at gig
We played a bar gig on the solstice this past weekend. Had a great time rocking the Casbah. I wore my SWK solid green shadow tartan woolie (the shadow shows up quite nicely in the second pic):

I was wearing my Ocanee belt and Thorfinn sporran (which I slide over to my left hip while playing).

Lookin' good. I like the way the tartan "pops" in the second picture. What kind of guitar are you playing there?

Nice looking kilt. It goes well with the guitar.

The t-shirt is purely practical. It can get quite warm in a small venue when we're playing a bunch of up tempo dance tunes and whipping the crowd into a lather. Also, in general, I tend to play hard and sweat so a lightweight t-shirt is my usual top of choice.

You need to get on the list to play at Devil's Canyon, make it to kilt night and gig in one. Or pick a venue in a sort of central BA location and we'll just HAVE to have an extra kilt night some time.

We've contacted Devil's Canyon a couple of times but haven't heard back--which is pretty typical (and understandably so) of brewpubs. Problem is, we can't/won't play for free. We're an 8 piece band with members from all over the Bay Area who at the least need to be compensated for gas money, bridge fair, etc., plus some gracious hospitality. But if DC wants a show, we can deliver in spades.
As far as kilt nights, I'm kilted at every show we play so grab a couple of kilted friends and c'mon down and check us out.
