    Green Jacket Conversion

This is actually the 4th jacket for me. I wore the black one (3rd) for the Burns Supper this past January. This is another project I'm not yet finished with yet, so I will post as I have time to finish it.

Something tells me I will be finishing this and the DIY kilt # 5 in Franklin, NC on vacation for "Father's Day" and Taste of Scotland.

A little background: the jacket was purchased at a Salvation Army thrift store for around $5.

Replacement buttons, probably more than the cost of the jacket.

I'd be curious to see a close-up shot of the buttons already on the jacket.

The six points have crowns on them. They are not in good shape and I really don't like them.

    update...

Here the pocket is sewn in and the new buttons are on the front closer of the jacket.

close up of new buttons... from Jo-Ann's by the way.

Right bottom edge sewn together now.

    Started shortening the sleeves.

Congratulations and glad you had a good time.
