Soon to be visiting Victoria, BC
My wife and I are driving out to Victoria in a week-and-a-bit to visit her family out there.
We'll be in town from around Sept 6 to perhaps the 16th.
I'll definitely have to drop into Freedom Kilts while I'm out there and see Steve's shop, and be amazed by the intravenous coffee connection everyone mentions <grin>
Any chance of getting some local kilties together one evening for a few pints? Is there anything good going on during this period?

Chrissss,
Thank you for the advance warning. I'll go book my plane tickets now to insure that I am far out of town for your visit.
Seriously, I'm sure we can get a couple of the rabble together and show you our fair city.
Do you know where you will be staying?

We'll be staying with my wife's sister and her husband in Esquimalt, somewhere near the Tudor House (ah, memories from my old college days... that and the 6 Mile House and the Colwood Inn)

The Tudor? Ha, ha, you could have found me down the road at the Halfway House (where/when the pool tables cost the same as a beer - two bits)!

That's great, Chris! We'll be around, and we're always up for a pint or two.

Well, in town now. I met up with Steve today to get measured for one of his kilt jacket/waistcoat sets. What a great store, and Steve's a great guy to talk to. And he was mobile, drinking coffee from a mug instead of the IV drip hooked to his veins!
Anyone up for a couple pints Friday night?

I'm volunteering at the Great Canadian Beer Festival Friday night, but if I know where you'll be I can come by afterwards (around 8:30 or so).

Chris,
Please give me a call at the shop so we can arrange a Kilt Night for you.

Probably a little late to set up something, but my wife and I will be at the 6 Mile House in Colwood around 7:30 tonight if anyone wants to drop in.
