    Kilted in Vegas

A few weeks ago I met my parents out in Las Vegas for a little getaway. I, of course, went kilted the whole time I was there. At one point a woman stopped me and asked if there was an event going on, because she had seen 4 men in kilts that day. I saw someone in a UK on the strip, but that was it as far as other kilties. There were many strange looks, many "Love the kilt!" comments, and a few pictures.

Here are my mother and I, in my Black Stewart, at the Bellagio garden. Bellagio is a beautiful hotel:

You can also see the world's largest chocolate fountain at Bellagio:

Here is a closeup of the fountain with milk and white chocolate:

Here's myself, in my Wallace, and my parents in front of Caesars Palace:

We ate at a neat little noodle place in Caesars that was like eating in a lace cage. They also had a really good sparkling blueberry sake:

Here is my mother and I after a dinner at Le Cirque in Bellagio. I wore my all black ensemble (Black SWK economy). Paris is in the background:

Here is the view across the street from the Bellagio fountain:

All in all it was a nice little vacation. I love Vegas ( I am a bit of a craps player). Even if you don't gamble, the shows and the food are reason enough to go. I went to a place called Japonais and had an appetizer called "The Rock" which was a plate of thinly sliced raw marinated beef. It came with a large hot stone. You would put the beef on the stone and cook it at your table. It was neat, and tasted great.

Wow, great pics, BB... and I love that fountain!

Another member just posted about his trip to Vegas while kilted. I wonder if he was one of those you saw there.

Ha, got a kilted pic in Vegas only a few feet from yours in the B's garden. Some great other pics, I totally missed the chocolate fountain, which surprises me greatly as chocolate is one of the basic food groups.

Nice photos. My children would like us to put in a fountain like that. I'll bet you can guess my answer.

I forgot to post this picture! This was a bar called Minus 5. It is kept at negative 5 degrees fahrenheit and all the fixtures are made out of ice. The glasses for your drinks are made out of ice as well. When you go in they give you gloves, boots, and a parka. We got a picture there. My parents thought it was very cold...I live in Chicago:
