Tartan Riders - Tartan Selection

OK lads, this thing is rolling along nicely. We have some great interest which helps us get the price down and we have 3 strong tartans to choose from. Now we need to select one to start working with. To head off the questions, at this time we won't be using the XMTS tartan for the Tartan Riders.

What about one of the Pride of Scotland grey tartans to symbolize the road ahead/untraveled?

Probably symbolically appropriate but from a safety standpoint brighter colors are far less likely to be hit by passing automobiles than greys and blacks, especially early in the morning (mist, low light, and a lot of idiots on the road without enough coffee in their gullets yet) and at sunset (flat light, sun in your eyes, same idiots as above in a hurry to get home while texting their significant other about what to pick up at the grocery on the way).
