new tartan thoughts
Hey Guys,
I was designing a tartan and wanted to get feedback. Yes it is based on a specific tartan with different colors (see if you can guess the tartan). What's the general consensus on this design? Nice? Ugly? Needs more color? Need to go back to the drawing board?

Looks a little like my Ancient Red Douglas:

I like yours but agree it might benefit from just a little flair of additional color.

Rocky,
I like it in principle. I feel like it's missing a little something.
I'd actually tried something similar in designing a tartan based on some family heraldry, the main difference is where yours is white I had three gold stripes.
My line of experimentation with this colourscheme died out.
I think you should keep working it, it seems pretty close to cohesive, again, maybe just a little 'tweak' (not that I know what that tweak may be).
Keep us posted.

I find it very pleasing to the eye.

While the grey is what I was 'going for', I took the color recomendation and changed it to a muted blue...

I like the blue better myself. However I think the grey would work with a change of the black lines to something a bit more colorful.

Looks similar to the fetching Du-Rag you were wearing yesterday. Love that new product line! When are you releasing it? ;)

We're counting on you to be our model during tartan week in NYC, Robert. If anyone can pull off a tartan dew rag, it's you.

Looks like the perfect tartan for The Ohio State Buckeyes. As fanatical as those fans area (I speak from experience, you should meet my wife's family) you'd sell a bus load of kilts and scarfs in that tartan.

Rocky what if you added a muted blue line to the grey? I think it would add depth to it. The grey version, as is, looks like a grid you would use in math class. But I think it would look nice with something more.
The red and blue just reminds me of a superman tartan.
