what is your thoughts?
So I have a "Wicca/Renaissance" wedding in September... I will wait till the giggling stops.... Anyway I have been saving for a new kilt which i hope to have by then(mid September). First when should I order it by to ensure it arrives? Where do you think I should get it (probably a question for the Ontario crew)? I would feel better about going to the shop and getting sized by them rather then doing everything over the internet.
Just so everyone will know it WILL be Maple leaf tartan and i will be bursting out of my skin when it arrives
any thoughts?

My first recommendation will be for Bear Kilts. He always has some Maple Leaf tartan (Poly/viscose or Wool) on hand. and his kilts are fantastic.
Another option, is why not be the first on the board to try out a kilt from these guys http://www.mapleleafkilts.com/ They are in Ontario, so you may run across them in the future anyway. Plus they carry the Maple Leaf tartan. Not sure about alll the belt loops though, especially the ones on the apron.

I have 2 kilts from Burnett's & Struth. An 8yd 16oz Flower of Scotland and a 4yd 13oz MacGregor (Ancient).
The workmanship on both is excellent.
Both kilts are in my gallery.

My last kilt was from Hector Russell in Toronto, and they did a GRAND job, but Burnett & Struth are top notch as well!
Cheers,

Chucker! Dude! 8)
Your choice of the Maple Leaf tartan just shows your impeccable taste. The daggum tartan wears well with virtually anything.
B&S is a fantastic choice. You can't go wrong with HR in Toronto. Since both products are AUTHENTIC and hand-sewn, you'll be happy either way. Now it comes down to price and accessibility.
I'm also quite proud that you're talking about wool. You da man!!!

I love the Maple Leaf, gorgeous tartan... I have to say that I love my HR kilts, both are quality garments and neither ran more than $350 american...
What does a wiccan wedding entail, anyhow? My own wedding was pretty much void of religious messages, we tried to focus on the more political (we wed last September 11). Our message was reclaiming the day for a joyful, peaceful celebration. Just curious about the ceremony.
